Happy Hanukkah!

Updated: Sep 23, 2020

A festival of lights, this Hanukkah platter will be a treat for all!

Happy Hanukkah!

As we celebrate the Christmas holidays, we have been very fortunate to also celebrate the traditions of Hanukkah with our very good friends.

Not to come empty handed, I put together a Hanukkah platter for all of us to enjoy. Filled with an abundance of fruits and sweets, I did add cheeses for this festive gathering.

* Prior to making this Hanukkah board, you may wish to check the type of cheeses that will be ok to use. You can always replace the cheese with a hummus dip and adding additional fruits.

Shopping List

For this Hanukkah cheese, sweets and fruit platter, I wanted to keep with the traditional colors of blue and gold. Fruits like blueberries and blackberries are perfect for this platter surrounded by sweets. Chocolate wrapped money - Hanukkah gelt is a must on your platter!

Platter Layout

Use the images as your guide!

Step 1: Begin by placing food grade paper down on the board to protect the wood from staining.

Step 2: Place 10 chocolates on both sides, of your board, following the curve. Place a bowl as this will be holding your goat cheese.

Step 3: Add 10 yogurt pretzels at the base of your board and place them facing each other. Add grapes to the top of your board.

Step 4: Place star crackers following the yogurt pretzels outline.

Step 5: Around your bowl, add your blueberry picks.

Step 6: A pretty Happy Hanukkah sign will be an added touch to your platter.

Step 7: Frame your sign with vanilla cupcakes topped with a blackberry.

Step 8: Chocolate Gelt money is placed on both sides of the platter beside the chocolates and blueberries.

Step 9: Place two sprigs of rosemary at the top of the board. Add your cheese slices with star cutout. Fill in among the blueberries your truffle chocolates in gold & silver wrappers.

Step 10: Starfruit is placed on either side of the cheese slices and save a few and put them in between the grapes.

Step 11: Put your blueberry goat cheese in your bowl. Top with a square of honeycomb and a couple of blackberries.

Step 12: Move your cheese slices forward and tuck in your multigrain crackers.
