See if your sweetheart can solve the romantic food puns within your
Valentine's Day platter!
As I was planning this platter, I wanted to do something that was easy to build, manageable to transport but most importantly I wanted it to be romantic and fun!
After sourcing the internet for ideas, I came across children's Valentine cards with the cutest food puns on them. As I did more searching ('romantic food puns') I wanted to see if I could build a platter that highlighted each funny pun.
To my surprise, I was actually able to build not 1 but 2 platters based on the romantic puns.
I hope you will have fun building and sharing 'The Cheesy Couples' Platter and take the time to relax, enjoy the day but most importantly spend time with your special someone!
Le Creuset Baking Dishes
I thought it would be fun to take these platters to the park, I wanted a really easy way of transporting them. Baking dishes are great for building a charcuterie platter. The baking dishes in red and pink were perfect for Valentine's Day. 2 small ramekin hearts in red and white served as bowls.
The Cheesy Couple Shopping List
I have paired the food that matches the romantic food puns for this Cheesy Couples platter!
Handwritten Valentine's day cards are a lovely way of saying I Love You!
Write the romantic food puns inside a card and once your sweetheart has tried guessing them, then you can give them your sweet Valentine card with the answers!
We will build one platter at a time. Let's begin with Sweetheart Platter #1

Step 13: Will you be my Honey: Top off with Honeycomb and Dried Rose Petals
Step 13: Will you Brie Mine?: Make it extra special with a proposal.
Using a sharp knife, slice through the top of the Brie without going all the way through (Stop about 3/4 of the way)
Sprinkle Dried Rose Petals (don't add the honeycomb) but add a little note saying: Will You Brie Mine?
When your special someone pulls back the top of the Brie... well you know the rest ;)
